Lead an exciting new project being planned by West Somerset Green Forum and Time Banks UK.
The West Somerset Time Bank would be a community volunteering project that rewards members with time credits for carrying out tasks and activities for others. Those credits can then be spent receiving help from fellow members in return.
These mutual exchanges make great use of the skills we all have to offer, whether that’s going for a walk with someone, helping with gardening, sharing IT expertise or lending a hand with DIY.
The West Somerset scheme would also be open to organisations, including businesses, theatres, colleges, care homes and councils, broadening the scope of what the Time Bank can offer. Membership will be completely free.
The project is currently launching with a 6-month pilot phase to gauge interest in establishing a permanent Time Bank in West Somerset. This paid part-time role is available to help get the project up and running. Could that be you?
