Young Somerset are the primary voluntary and community sector youth work organisation in Somerset that put young people first. They deliver a range of recreational and educational services that are aligned to statutory provision, and support young peoples’ personal, social, economic, and educational development.

Due to the continued growth of their Alternative Provision and Outdoor Learning teams, Young Somerset are looking to recruit a Youth Worker with experience of working with children and young people in outdoor settings, groups, alternative education and some mentoring on a 1:1 basis.

The charity are looking for people who have experience of working with young people in a variety of outdoor, community, or education settings, who have an understanding of the key challenges young people in Somerset face. A Level 3 qualification in a relevant area (or commitment to work towards one) is required.

The role is based at the Young Somerset office in Bridgwater, but will also require travel to youth work delivery locations across the county.
