Lead Watch CIO's team of Peer Support Volunteers.

Watch is the peer lead organisation for Open Mental Health (OMH). As part of this network, the charity have funding to provide an innovative peer support service that prepares individuals with lived experience of mental ill-health to become Peer Support Volunteers.

These volunteers connect with individuals wanting help, supporting them to access services within the OMH network. With more peer support volunteers, Watch can reach more people sooner and find the right help when it matters.

The role will include, amongst other tasks, engaging with OMH partners, assisting with recruiting people onto Watch’s courses, co-facilitating two support groups a month, supporting emerging peer groups, assisting with training and undertaking 1:1 assessments.

The successful candidate will have experience or knowledge of mental health, and an understanding of working with vulnerable adults. They will understand how peer support works to support individuals. Previous experience in peer support facilitation would be an advantage.

If you are passionate about mental health, Watch would love to hear from you. Email leoniegirling@watchproject.org.uk to apply, or visit the Watch website to learn more.
