New workplace support service for those affected by cancer

We Hear You are delighted announce a new service offering support to the local community.

We Hear You (WHY) provide counselling and emotional support for patients, families, friends and carers who have been affected or bereaved by cancer or any other life-threatening conditions, across Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire.

To celebrate their 30th year supporting those impacted by cancer in the communities they serve, the charity are offering their specialism to a new audience through their new service – WHYinwork.

Created to help support employers to manage the impact of cancer and life-threatening conditions within their workforce, WHYinwork offers expert support that will be particularly useful to managers and HR professionals.

Every year in the UK more than 120,000 people of working age receive a cancer diagnosis. With this figure rising, every organisation should be prepared, for the good of their employees and their business. Through online and in-person seminars and bespoke, in-house training, WHY aims to help employers be better prepared to support those who work with them.

Upcoming seminars take place on Wednesday 25 September in Frome and Wednesday 27 November online.

For more information about the service and details about their seminars, please visit the WHY website using the link below.
