What makes a successful funding application: Consultation

Date: Wednesday, 27 November

Funders often require community-based evidence to assess the demand for projects.

It’s important to “evidence the need” – to showcase the wider support for your project in the community and the changes it will make, and help funders understand what will improve as a result of their investment.

Input from local residents will also help you inform decisions, and can be a great source of practical and technical help. However, feedback from funders indicates that this information is often missing from applications.

This free online session, hosted by Community Council for Somerset will provide you with some “light touch” suggestions for how you can consult with your community, collect the stories funders need, and create a more compelling case.

They will discuss:

  • Social media polls
  • User group surveys
  • Pop up events
  • and more!
