The Reflect, Recover, Renew research project identified a shared vision for a thriving voluntary community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in Somerset. Would you like to help us make it a reality?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join one of five task and finish groups which will focus on the priority areas identified by the research: Co-ordination, Funding, Collaboration, Recognition and Community Leadership.
Since the research findings were published there has been steady progress in a number of these areas, including the establishment of the VCFSE Somerset Dementia Partnership and the Somerset Youth Work Alliance, to name a few. However, there’s more to be done and we’re delighted to have Penny Schofield back to take the lead.
Penny is now looking to work with a range of voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) leaders and representatives to identify and trial a range of short and long term initiatives. To enable everybody to contribute their skills, knowledge and insight, a participation fund for smaller groups will be available.
