Level 1 Safeguarding Awareness – Adults and Children

Date: Tuesday, 13 January

An introductory course to safeguarding the children and vulnerable adults you may support

Safeguarding of adults, young people and children is everybody’s business. It means protecting an individual’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.

Ensuring the welfare of all adults is vital, and voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations should be aware of how to protect the people they work with from harm.

Join us for this one-hour training session to learn:

  • The current legislation around safeguarding
  • How to recognise the signs of abuse and neglect
  • How to report a concern
  • Where to go to seek advice

The session will be led by Kerry Male, Deputy Designated Nurse for Safeguarding Children for NHS Somerset.

Tickets are available to staff and volunteers of VCFSE organisations in Somerset, and will be of particular interest to those responsible for safeguarding within their group. Due to the number of places available, we ask that you limit the number of tickets to 2 per organisation.
