VCFSE Somerset Dementia Partnership

A network of voluntary sector organisations committed to supporting those living with dementia and their carers and families.

About the partnership

With over 60 voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations represented, the Partnership aims to boost collaboration and develop new ways of working with our statutory-sector colleagues.

Members participate in strategic discussions about dementia services improvement, and play a key role within the Somerset Dementia Wellbeing Service. They have helped to shape priority work such as special vaccination clinics, training and peer support for carers, and information packs for those who have recently been diagnosed with dementia.

We often talk about joined up working but there always seem to be barriers to its success, this feels somewhat different, every voice matters and all experiences enrich our knowledge.
