AI is everywhere, but much of the conversation around it is confusing, over-technical, or unhelpful.
Join us for this two-part, online training series that aims to cut through the noise and focus on what AI actually is. Fast-paced and demonstration-led, you’ll learn how AI works, and how everyday people can start using it confidently.
Session 1: Myth-Busting (Thursday 19 February)
This session will cover what AI is, what it can do, and how to start using. It is designed for anyone who wants to feel informed, capable and confident using AI – regardless of role or technical background.
You will explore AI in plain English, with practical examples that show how it can support work and life, not replace people. The session covers how to interact with AI effectively using simple prompting techniques, alongside essential topics such as bias, hallucinations, and security so you understand both its value and its limits.
Session 2: Taking AI Further (Thursday 26 February)
This session will explore the real-life applications of AI, and is ideal for anyone who wants to move beyond experimentation and start embedding AI into real workflows.
You will see how AI can turn raw information or datasets into structured presentations, and how it can support the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process maps that are clear, usable, and easy to maintain. The emphasis will be on AI as a thinking and structuring partner, helping people work more effectively rather than automating blindly.
Please note: this training takes place across two sessions on consecutive weeks. Ensure you have booked your place for both of these dates when clicking the link below.
