Children & Young People's Mental Health Network
Working together to improve the mental health and wellbeing.
The network brings together organisations to collaborate, share learning and create positive change for young people in Somerset.
Our members meet regularly and have the opportunity to:
- Connect and collaborate with peers
- Stay informed through our weekly email featuring events, funding, training, services and research
- Access training and development opportunities tailored to the needs of the sector
- Take part in small group problem-solving sessions by bringing real challenges for peer support (coming soon!)
Strategic representation
We amplify the collective voice of the network on a number of strategic boards including the Mental Health Learning and Disabilities board, Somerset Safeguarding Children’s Partnership Quality and performance subgroup, and the Somerset ICS Mental Health board.
A key activity has been our work with the local ICB to improve NHS procurement processes for mental health services. The resulting report shows how commissioning can be made fairer and more accessible — especially for smaller or emerging VCFSE organisations. Read more in this blog.
