A free forum for Somerset initiatives that use food, growing and gardening to support positive change.
Food, growing and gardening projects are vital for the health and wellbeing of our communities, especially during times of economic hardship.
We warmly invite you to join us for this free forum, co-hosted by Spark Somerset and Somerset Community Food (SCF).
Whether you’re involved with a local allotment, community fridge or foodbank, therapeutic garden, cooking class or any other initiative which uses food, growing and gardening to support positive change, please come and join us for the chance to network and share peer support, learning and best practice.
For this Forum, we’ll be at Lesser Litter in Taunton. Run by the Ethical Food Collective, the shop focusses on reducing packaging waste and selling good quality, healthy products that are ethically sourced.
We’ll discover how the shop operates as a Community Benefit Society and is run with volunteer support. We’ll also discuss plans for upcoming Forums and meetings in 2026, including a scything demo, a summer visit to the Bishops Palace in Wells, and a food-focussed funding workshop.
Locally sourced tea and cake will be available, and attendees are invited to network – and bring small boxes and bags to do a spot of shopping!
Tickets to this forum are freely available to voluntary organisations, social enterprises and individuals involved in community growing, food and gardening projects in Somerset.
