Food, growing and gardening projects are vital for the health and wellbeing of our communities, especially during times of economic hardship.
We warmly invite you to join us for this free forum, co-hosted by Spark Somerset and Sustainable Food Somerset.
Whether you’re involved with a local allotment, community fridge or foodbank, therapeutic garden, cooking class or any other initiative which uses food, growing and gardening to support positive change, please come and join us for the chance to network and share peer support, learning and best practice.
This meeting will be taking place at the home of The Geranium Trust – a 26-acre site with gardens and a wildlife haven that’s an inclusive place of connection and support for those who are isolated. We’ll have a tour of the allotments and hear from Terence ‘Paul’ Palfry about the community meals and social support provided for local people, and learn all about scything from able2achieve volunteers.
Please note: the location is outdoors and has uneven ground, so please dress accordingly.
Tickets to this forum are freely available to voluntary organisations, social enterprises and individuals involved in community growing, food and gardening projects in Somerset.
