Practical tips and tricks to ensure your content is easily accessible and understood.
Reasonable adjustments are ways in which we can change our working environment or arrangements to make sure what we do is as accessible and inclusive as possible. From members of staff and volunteers to service users, these changes should remove disadvantages at all levels.
But how do we get started, and what can we do to ensure we’re making our services truly accessible?
Join us for a practical session exploring how charities and community groups can make their everyday communications more accessible and inclusive, across websites, printed materials, emails and social media.
We will look at common communication barriers and practical ways to make content easier for more people to access, understand and engage with.
From accessible formatting, language and digital content to images, captions and social media posts, we will explore straightforward changes that can be built into everyday communications without needing specialist tools or large budgets.
The session will also focus on quick wins for more inclusive social media, helping organisations think about accessibility from the point of creating content rather than trying to add it afterwards.
