We've teamed up with Somerset Council and Evenbreak to deliver free online training opportunities designed to help local groups and charities make their services more accessible.
These 30-minute sessions will explore key themes in accessibility and inclusion, helping organisations better support disabled people in their communities, workplaces and services.
Upcoming dates include:
- Mental health inclusion for frontline and community work, Thursday 17 September, 12pm
- Inclusive recruitment for charities, Monday 5 October, 10am
- Creating neuro-inclusive Community Sessions, Wednesday 14 October, 1.30pm
- Inclusive volunteer recruitment and onboarding, Monday 21 October, 10am
- Making community spaces and outreach activities more accessible, Tuesday 10 November, 11.30am
- Accessible communications, and social media, Thursday 19 November, 12pm – 1pm
- Running accessible and inclusive events on any budget, Thursday 26 November, 10am
Some sessions will take place at the start of existing meetings and networks. You’re welcome to attend just the training session or stay for the whole event.

To complement this training programme, organisations are also invited to apply for one of 50 free Best Practice Portal licences, providing access to a learning hub filled with micro-learning modules, lived experience insights and practical resources to build confidence and knowledge around accessibility and inclusion.
Licences will be issued on a first come, first served basis to Somerset based voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations that complete our Expression of Interest Form.
