Creative Story Telling: Video and Editing

Date: Wednesday, 18 February

Using video and editing software to create meaningful stories and convey important messages.

Videos can be a powerful tool to tell your story, demonstrate your impact, and engage your audience with what you do. But how do you begin to plan your videos, and what free and easy-to-use software is available to edit your content?

Join us for this in-person session where we will look at techniques for planning and recording simple videos, and introduce you to free and open source digital editing tools.

We will look at storyboarding to plan and record insightful 90-second videos, and explore visual and audio editing software such as DaVinci Resolve to turn your footage into a powerful short video.

There will also be opportunities for discussion and feedback, and a chance to reflect on how what you’ve learnt will affect your work, as well as the communities you support.
