Grief First Aid: the impacts of grief on children

Grief First Aid is a short intervention designed to help professionals understand the impacts of grief on a child.

This 2-hour course offers an insight into theories of grief and practical guidance as to how to help children and young people who are experiencing grief. A practical introduction to bereavement and how best to support young people, you will learn suggested approaches, resources and next steps.

About the trainer

Your trainer for this session will be Leif Tarry, Director and Founder of Josephine’s Star – a children’s bereavement charity offering 1:1 support for children and young people experiencing grief.

Tickets are freely available to VCFSE staff and volunteers in Somerset, and will be of particular interest to those supporting children and young people, especially with their mental health.
