Lunch & Learn: marketing and understanding your audience

Date: Monday, 30 March

Are you trying to speak to everyone at once - and ending up resonating with no one?

In this practical Lunch & Learn session, we’ll explore how charities and voluntary groups can map their different audiences and tailor messages that truly connect. From funders and trustees to service users, volunteers and community partners, each group needs something slightly different from you.

We’ll break down simple, accessible tools to help you clarify who you’re talking to, what matters to them, and how to adapt your tone and messaging without losing your core purpose.

Who is it for?

This session is suitable for anyone who works or volunteers for a VCFSE organisation (including community interest companies, community benefit societies and unincorporated organisations) and wants their communications to feel clearer, more confident and more impactful.

About the trainer

Your trainer for this session will be Samantha Maloney, Marketing Director for Hatched Agency. With over 30 years experience in marketing, Samantha has worked with businesses of all sizes – from small start-ups to major global brands. She is skilled in developing and driving agile go-to-market (GTM), B2B and B2C marketing strategies, has a proven track record of building and growing successful brands, and is passionate about helping organisations of all shapes and sizes to achieve their targets.

This training is offered as part of a project that is being funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund. Free tickets are solely available to VCFSE staff and volunteers from organisations operating in Somerset. If you are registering for this event and we cannot verify that you’re from a Somerset-based charity, your booking will be cancelled.
