Reasonable adjustments are ways in which we can change our working environment or arrangements to make sure what we do is as accessible and inclusive as possible. From members of staff and volunteers to service users, these changes should remove disadvantages at all levels.
But how do we get started, and what can we do to ensure we’re making our services truly accessible?
Join us for a practical session exploring how community and outreach spaces can be made more accessible and inclusive for disabled and neurodivergent people.
We will look at some of the barriers people may experience when accessing community activities, services and outreach, from communication and information through to physical, sensory and environmental access.
We will share practical ways to anticipate and remove barriers, considering a range of access needs, including some of the considerations that may be relevant for people living with dementia.
