Volunteering and social action

Empowering people to volunteer and make a difference in their communities.

Anyone can make great things happen for their community.

We’re passionate about the value of social action – to tackle loneliness, improve wellbeing, enhance skills and employability, and build stronger, more resilient communities.

Here in Somerset, we are fortunate to have a strong and diverse voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise VCFSE sector, with volunteers at its core. We’re passionate about the value of social action and by working with local partners, we offer volunteering opportunities for all.

The benefits for both the volunteer and the sector are far reaching and we deliver a range of services, projects and initiatives which aim to improve the quantity and diversity of volunteering in Somerset.
