Learn more about legacy-giving, will-writing, and promotional approaches.

Legacy fundraising is a very cost-effective way for charities to raise funds but it can be quite a sensitive topic to approach.

Join us for this short, practical Lunch & Learn where we will cover wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), legacy storytelling through video, and practical community workshops.

We’ll hear from Andrea Mapstone and Jill Humphries from Lyons Bowe Solictors, who will discuss their Charity Will Scheme and how they support individuals wanting to leave a legacy to charitable organisations with care and integrity. They’ll also cover why wills and LPAs matter to groups like yours

Emma Bracegirdle from The Saltways will lead a practical session that will give you a clear, compassionate framework for creating video content that builds trust, deepens relationships, and inspires supporters to consider leaving a gift. We’ll explore the types of video that work throughout the legacy supporter journey, from pledger stories to impact films – whether you’re building a legacy programme from scratch or strengthening what you already have.

Free tickets are solely available to VCFSE staff and volunteers from organisations operating in Somerset, and will be of particular interest to those with fundraising responsibilities for their group or organisation.
