A online forum for voluntary and community groups who are interested in sector research.
Many voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) groups are already gathering insight and evidence through things like monitoring and evaluation, feedback, community conversations, and lived experience work. At the same time, more organisations are being approached to support research, engagement, or involvement activity from NHS, university, or public sector partners.
We warmly invite you to join us for the first Somerset VCFSE Research Forum: an online space for people from voluntary groups and charities across Somerset to come together, compare notes, share experiences, and explore the many different ways organisations are understanding, evidencing, and learning from the communities they work alongside.
This won’t be a formal presentation or technical session. Instead, we’ll use the session to think about:
- What organisations are already doing
- What kinds of requests or opportunities are emerging
- What feels useful, difficult, or sometimes a bit unclear
- What support, collaboration, or shared learning might help
This first session will be exploratory — a chance to see what conversations feel useful, what themes are emerging across the sector, and what this kind of shared space could become over time.
Places are freely available to staff and volunteers from VCFSE organisations based or operating in Somerset. No research background needed — just curiosity, experience, and an interest in hearing what others are doing.
If we cannot confirm that you are booking from a VCFSE group based or operating in Somerset, your booking will be cancelled.
