Networking, shared learning and building connections.

Do you work for or volunteer with a Somerset-based charity, community group, or organisation? Would you like to build links with local Councils to help ensure better outcomes for the people in your area?

Join us for our Community Health & Wellbeing Roadshow events, hosted in partnership with Somerset Association of Local Councils (SALC), and find out how the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector can strengthen their collaborative working with parish, town and city Councils.

We’ll explore how Councils and VCFSEs can work together to:

  • Strengthen engagement with communities
  • Increase external funding into local areas
  • Better understand and meet local community needs

We’ll also look at:

  • The Somerset VCFSE Insights Hub; understanding local data and need
  • Partnerships that unite organisations to collaborate, spark innovation, and deliver meaningful impact, such as the Somerset Youth Alliance
  • Funding opportunities – beyond the precept
  • Community Health & Wellbeing Programme and beyond
  • Community engagement and knowing your community

The roadshow will be taking place at:

  • Morland Community Hub, Highbridge, Thursday 19 March, 2-5pm
  • Chilthorne Domer Village Hall, Saturday 11 April, 10am-1pm
  • EMN Community Hall, Monksilver, Wednesday 15 April, 6-9pm

To book your place on your preferred date, please visit the SALC website.
