Volunteer Coordinators’ Forum: Inclusive Volunteer Recruitment & Onboarding

Location: Online
Date: Wednesday, 21 October
Time: 10:00 am
Cost: Free

A practical look at how you can remove barriers within your organisation to make your volunteer recruitment process more accessible.

Volunteer Coordinators are often the sole person within their organisation with responsibility for volunteers.

We invite you to join us at our Volunteer Coordinators’ Forum for the opportunity to meet people with a similar role, network, and share peer support.

This special, hour-long practical session will focus on how inclusive volunteer recruitment and onboarding can help organisations remove barriers, broaden participation and create positive experiences from the very first interaction.

We will look at how volunteering opportunities, recruitment processes and induction activities can unintentionally exclude disabled and neurodivergent volunteers, and share practical ways to make volunteering more accessible and welcoming.

The session will also explore how thoughtful onboarding and ongoing support can help volunteers feel confident, valued and able to contribute in ways that work for them.

This session is ideal for volunteer coordinators, managers and anyone involved in recruiting, supporting or retaining volunteers who wants to strengthen inclusive volunteering practices.
