Provide compassionate, person-centred support to individuals and families experiencing crisis, hardship or exclusion.
The Crisis & Resilience Village Agent (Diverse and Displaced Communities) provides practical, person-centred support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, crisis or social disadvantage, with a particular focus on people from ethnically diverse, refugee, migrant and other displaced communities.
The role combines direct support, community engagement and partnership working to ensure people can access the help they need whilst building long-term resilience and strengthening community connections.
Working across Somerset, you will build trusted relationships with individuals, community leaders, voluntary organisations and statutory services. You will help people overcome barriers to accessing support, ensure community voices are heard, and work collaboratively to develop inclusive responses to local needs.
You will support people experiencing immediate crisis, including financial hardship, housing insecurity, social isolation and difficulties accessing services. Alongside this, you will engage with communities to identify emerging needs, reduce inequalities and improve access to opportunities that promote wellbeing, resilience and independence.
