A one-hour look at the essential Safeguarding principals.

Safeguarding adults, young people, and children is everyone’s responsibility. It’s about ensuring that every individual can live safely, free from abuse and neglect.

All voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations play a key role in keeping the people they work with safe from harm. This means that an awareness of basic Safeguarding principles is essential.

Join us for this one-hour training session which will cover:

  • The latest legislation on safeguarding both adults and children
  • How to recognise signs of abuse and neglect
  • How to report a concern effectively
  • Where to access advice and support about Safeguarding for your organisation

This session will be led by Leonie Cole, an experienced Safeguarding Consultant and Designated Safeguarding Lead, working in both education and volunteer-led organisations.

Free tickets are solely available to VCFSE staff and volunteers from organisations operating in Somerset, and will be of particular interest to those with safeguarding responsibilities for their group or organisation.
