Hear from Somerset VCFSEs about approaches to corporate volunteering, and how it can deliver real value.

Corporate volunteering can be a powerful way to bring in much-needed time, skills and support from local businesses. Done well, it can also open the door to longer-term partnerships—raising your profile, strengthening networks, and unlocking additional resources and funding.

But it’s not without challenges. How do you ensure corporate volunteering genuinely supports your mission, rather than stretching limited staff capacity or becoming a one-off team-building exercise for businesses?

Join us for this practical workshop, where you’ll hear directly from local VCFSEs about how they’ve navigated these questions. They’ll share their experiences of designing volunteering opportunities that align with their purpose, while managing expectations and maintaining impact.

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and consider how corporate volunteering could work for your organisation. We’ll also explore how platforms like Spark a Change can help you connect with businesses and expand your network.

Tickets are freely available to staff and volunteers from voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations operating in Somerset, and will be of particular interest to those responsible for volunteering or the operations of their group.
